Lean sticks against a ridge pole and pile leaves on thick until it is a warm nest you can crawl into.

Follow low ground, green plants, and animal trails downhill until you reach a stream, spring, or pool.

Watch clouds, wind, and animals to tell if rain or cold is coming before it arrives.

Use the sun by day and the stars by night so you can leave camp and always get back.
